What we keep, and why
No ads, no trackers, and we never sell or share data for profit. We keep only what the site and the Discord bot need to work. Here is all of it.
Checked against the site and the bot on Oct 22, 2026.
In your browser only
- Your language choice, the row you marked with "That's me" on the roster, and what you type into the calculators are saved in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to us.
Visiting the site
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, counts page views for us (Cloudflare Web Analytics): the page, where you came from, your browser and country. Cloudflare says it uses no cookies and no fingerprinting.
- Cloudflare keeps short-lived logs of requests to the site and the bot, as any web host does.
Logging in with Discord
- Discord tells us your Discord ID, username, display name and avatar. Not your email, your servers or your messages.
- Logging in sets one cookie: a random ID that keeps you logged in for 30 days or until you log out. We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. A second cookie lives for 10 minutes while the login itself happens.
The DDK name poll
- Anyone can vote in the poll on /poll. If you vote without logging in, the site sets one cookie: a random ID, kept for a year, so it remembers your picks. We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it, next to your picks; nothing else about you.
- If you're logged in, your picks are kept with your Discord ID instead, and linked members' in-game names are shown next to the names they picked. /forget-me deletes your votes.
- Anyone can also add up to two names of their own (the name, one line and an emoji). They're kept with the same cookie ID or Discord ID and shown on the poll, with a linked member's in-game name next to theirs. Officers can remove any idea, and everyone can remove their own; we keep who removed it. /forget-me deletes your ideas too.
The suggestions box
- What you write, the name and contact you choose to give, any files you attach, the page you came from and your browser type are sent to the officers by email and to their private Discord channel. The site itself doesn't keep them.
- Submissions with a wrong answer to the security question are dropped; the first few words are kept in Cloudflare's short-lived logs.
The roster
- Public on this site: in-game names, ranks, titles, power, level and last seen, read from screenshots of the in-game Union member list. Profile photos are never published.
- Names in other scripts show a meaning and a reading, written by us; the member's own explanation wins.
The Discord bot
- Linking (/link): your Discord ID and names, which player you are, which officer approved it and when.
- Screenshots you send (/link, /profile) stay on Discord. We keep a link to them and what we read from them: name, power, level, kills and player ID. Power and level become part of the public roster and its history in the site's code repository.
- Rallies: who signed up for each rally.
- Airship rotation (/airship): the roster names officers put in it, who added each, and their order. Each day's pilot is named in #general and, if linked, pinged there and sent a DM the day before; linked members see the rotation on the War Council page. After /forget-me you're no longer pinged or DMed; your roster name stays in the rotation until an officer removes it.
- Diplomacy: the pacts and hostilities officers record with /diplomacy, and which officer recorded each. Linked members see them on the site, along with the War Council page: open rallies (who called each one, how many ride, and whether you do) and the server's Discord events, read from Discord when the page opens and not stored.
- Areas of interest: the ones you turn on with /notify (diplomacy, approvals, roster, events, rallies), so the bot can DM you when they happen. Turning one off, or /forget-me, removes it. To announce each new Discord event once, the bot also keeps the IDs of events it has seen (nothing else about them).
- Translate: the translated text is saved, so each message is only translated once into each language.
- /catchup reads the recent messages in the channels you can see, only when you ask, to write your summary. Nothing is stored except the time of your last catch-up.
- If you join the server but don't link, the bot DMs you up to four reminders, about a day apart, and keeps only when it reminded you. After that, officers may be shown that your Discord name matches a name on the roster, so they can link you themselves.
- The bot watches #general only to count how many messages are posted; it doesn't store them.
Who else sees what
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the bot and their database. Discord runs the server.
- Claude, by Anthropic, through the OpenCode service: the text you ask to translate, your /omen questions, your profile and roster screenshots, and the recent messages it summarises for /catchup. It sees them to translate, read or summarise them, nothing else.
- Suggestions go to the officers' inbox.
Your choices
- Log out from the "Your oath" page at any time.
- /forget-me in Discord deletes your account, your logins, your link requests and any pending profile updates, and removes your member roles.
- It doesn't remove what the game itself shows (your roster entry), roster updates already published, saved translations, or the rallies you rode in. Ask an officer if you want any of those gone.
